Ah yes because a term has a definition that removes all controversy forever more.

People are saying they don’t know how a term is being used, which is fair, as it has many definitions (certainly true wiki article or not). Your response is to say there is only one definition and then pretend anyone who disputes that is exactly the definition but is lying about it to save face. What a beautiful leftist thought process. So accepting and caring for your fellow human. I wish I could be a real leftist like you.

Edit: blocking you, I know how this goes. You will be condescending, judgy, and insulting without knowing the first thing other than I’m against this excuse for discourse.

except that’s not what happened. “Liberals are capitalism.” is not only an absurd statement, it’s a belief, not a definition of liberalism, nor was anything that followed-- and I called it out as such. And, instead of reacting like an adult to criticism, you attack me for having the temerity to dare ask.

        oh, the hypocrisy, lol

edit: and since my whole point here was that this sort of childish in-fighting is aa waste of time, I’m just going to block you and move on with my day.

        bye!

Okay, let’s look at wiki shall we?

I’m new to this thread so let’s add some sources.

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism

Liberalism is a political and moral philosophy based on the rights of the individual, liberty, consent of the governed, political equality, right to private property, and equality before the law.[1][2] Different liberals espouse various and sometimes conflicting views depending on their understanding of these principles but generally support liberal democracy, private property, market economies, individual rights (including civil rights and human rights), secularism, rule of law, economic and political freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and freedom of religion.[3] Liberalism is frequently cited as a major ideology of modern history.[4][5]: 11

Go look at those sources. Those aren’t socialist values are they?

That specific enough? Private/corporation private ownership isnt really a leftists thing. Its a liberal thing. Its a capatlism thing.

Its not infighting. We aren’t in with each other. Capitalists and anticapitalist aren’t on the same side. Hope that helps.

You would definitely call me a liberal and yet I am not in favor of capitalism, particularly in the disgusting form of it we have now. But none of that matters. You have a word to use as a weapon, don’t you?
