So we have gotten to “ordering” science to be something it isn’t. Got it.
Yes, that’s right. I recently spoke with five friends of mine who are chief physicians and senior physicians in Spain, Switzerland, and Germany: They all agreed—the U.S. is no longer conducting scientific research; the CDC, which used to be a globally important institution because many countries followed its guidelines, no longer exists, since all competent staff who refused to go along with this absurdity were fired.
They are appalled at how quickly this decline was orchestrated by the Trump regime, especially since it took decades to reach an international consensus. All of them have lost all trust in U.S. institutions and believe that these inhumane policies will cost hundreds of thousands of lives worldwide.
The erosion of US soft power is the greatest gift Trump could give to Russia and China, it will take generations to recover, if ever. It’s not a crazy idea to start learning some Chinese if you work in a technical field.
Not to be a doomer, but I don’t really expect it to ever fully recover. I can’t really think of any other times in history when an Empire started to nose-dive like this and managed to fully get back to where it was TBH.
Honestly I don’t even think the US will exist in 10 years, at least not to it’s current extent.
10 sounds wildly optimistic imo
I usually give my more conservative upper limits on these types of things. Frankly I think all the powder is already in the keg and we’re just waiting for a spark to send it off.
All according to the Republican plan
While that may be true for some I think most of them are just stupid, actually correction all of them are stupid since if the US collapses it’ll most likely nuke a lot of their wealth and a lot of their plans will go down with the ship, note im directly thinking of the stupid ass network city state thing that fuckwits like Thiel dragged out of the drug fueled delirium these morons seem to reside in.
Some of the very wealthy hope to live in some weird version of The Sovereign Individual authors’ vision and/or Curtis Yarvin’s.
With or without (extreme) wealth, if their vision were to really come to pass, I’m quite sure it might not end up the way they imagine.
I don’t think Russia plays much of a role here, but yes, absolutely: Trump and his henchmen are, in my opinion, merely accelerating the decline of the U.S.
This former superpower is clearly on its last legs, as too many resources have been embezzled—as is typical in oligarchies. Therefore, aggression is all that remains for it, since its bloated military apparatus is the only thing left, alongside the IT sector, which is currently dismantling itself for the very same reasons that led to this situation.
China is also a misanthropic autocracy, but the policies of its leaders are nonetheless far-sighted, forward-looking, and skillful, which is why China is already the superpower that the U.S. once was (albeit it’s glory was bought on credit after WWII).
Europe’s future, in my view, depends on whether it will be possible to shake off the influence of the U.S. and its disastrous turbo-capitalism. Unfortunately, it does not look that way, because in the strongest European countries, neo-capitalist forces are still at work, whose maxim is now turning into fascism precisely because their approach is no longer competitive in today’s world.
Either way, dark times are ahead for science—and, consequently, for humanity as well.
If it can be built it can rebuild so the “ if ever “ isn’t a useful comment. It’s exhausting when people say that.
What is useful is that it could take a long ass time for sure.
Do the dems want it to recover? Or even more on point, does Israel want it recover? I dont think they really do.
Not even the first time it has happened in the US, Indiana tried to redefine pi in 1897
Did they try to divide by zero too?
I’m waiting for Donvict and pals to go full Lysenko.
I mean, a lot of them already did it under Covid and quite a few died as a consequence. Didn’t change their mind, they still want to imprison Fauci for being right and for showing that Donvict is wrong.
Tau is better, anyway.
2 pi is always better than 1.
infinite potatoes per square foot next
But I want my potatoes to be 3 dimensional…
But 4 dimensional potatoes let you have so much more potato per potato.
I’m waiting for our Caligula to declare war on the sea.
You voted in a clown what did you expect
Fuck the executive branch… while we’re at it, fuck the judicial and legislative branches, too. None of them are government for the people any more.
Remember when Tylenol was linked to autism, crashing the stock price of its maker just long enough for that business to be acquired at a steep discount by its new owner? And how we never heard about a link between Tylenol and autism again?
I wonder which vaccine maker is about to get a hostile takeover?
I don’t who is the new owner? Bayer? ‘Cause that’d fit.
Kimberly-Clark apparently.
In November 2025, Kimberly-Clark announced it would buy Tylenol producer Kenvue for $48.7 billion. The deal would add the Aveeno, Band-Aid, Benadryl, Benylin, Calpol, Carefree, Clean & Clear, Combantrin, Imodium, Listerine, Motrin, Mylanta, Neutrogena, Nicorette, Johnson’s Baby, Sudafed, Visine, and Zyrtec brands to the company’s portfolio.
But also…
Kimberly-Clark shares are mainly held by institutional investors (The Vanguard Group, BlackRock, State Street Corporation, and others).
So make of that what you will.

Any time I see name BlackRock, ominous music starts playing out of nowhere.
Vanguard runs VOO and StateStreet runs SPY which are S&P500 ETF / Index Funds. That is why they have equity ownership in Kimberly-Clark.
I REMEMBER
Lol, no other administration in history has made the executive order so utterly pointless and meaningless
It’s almost like the President should never have had that power in the first place.
Hell, why not. This administration is already going to be known as the very worst in history, with the very stupidest person as President, not to mention the idiots he surrounded himself with.
Why not just completely chuck any pretense about caring about science and facts out the window?
I’m so scared they’re going to force kids to take some kind of snake oil cure.
No more science, just executive orders.
They ordering a link to exist between the two? Americans are some real dumb mutherfuckers.
“I DECLARED IT!”
“The waves have disobeyed me - guards! Lash the sea with your whips!”
the administration would use “gold standard science” to ensure the US has the “best childhood vaccine schedule in the world.”
“golden rule” people has joined the chat…
Order pi to equal 3
DjT has confused executive orders with tweets.
Recent reporting indicates that the White House’s continued effort to forge a false connection between vaccines and autism is coming from Trump directly. The octogenarian reportedly wants to be remembered as the president who cured autism and believes he can achieve that by scaling back vaccines, according to reporting by The Wall Street Journal.
So he actually believes this bullshit?
For a few minutes every so often, yeah.
So I guess executive orders are now just the barely coherent ramblings of a delusional old racism pedophile? I mean, it’s that or Stephen Miller’s wet dreams.
