Feels like a bad faith argument. Obama probably shouldn’t have won a peace prize, most people agree with that. But he was not responsible for Iraq and Afghanistan the way that Trump directly caused the current conflict. While he continues to lie about it in the news every day.
How is he not? He personally supported drone strikes all over and even did more than the Bush admin. He is absolutely “responsible for Iraq and Afghanistan the way that Trump directly caused the current conflict.”, by every definition. He ran and won on ending the war on terror.
There were 52 drone strikes on Pakistan from 2004 through the end of Bush’s term in 2009, but in the subsequent five years, President Obama allegedly launched at least 316 drone strikes on Pakistan, at least 43 on Yemen and three on Somalia. (In the cases of Yemen and Somalia, Obama has not restricted himself to drones. His administration also launched an attack on Yemen in December 2009 that consisted of cruise missiles laden with cluster bombs that killed 41 civilians, including 12 women and 22 children.)
Where is the page about Trump announcing a withdrawal from Iran? When that page exists, maybe then you can call them equivalent. Until then, it’s a bad faith argument.
How do you define actively involved in war?
We were actively involved in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan when President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Fine, but I didn’t say actively involved, you did.
If you meant to say “started a war”, you should have said that.

False equivalency. Not ending wars fast enough is not the same thing as Trump literally starting a war.

He didn’t start it but he escalated from Bush. That was my only point, it’s equivalent in the unnecessary bloodshed.
Yeah, drone strikes. And why are those worse than artillery bombardments?
What?
