At a rally in Nebraska Tuesday night, President Trump told his supporters exactly what he thinks about the well-being of the American people.
Trump first said that the price of goods and services, which have gone up thanks to his ill-advised Iran war and tariff policies, were “just a little bit high. It’s a small price to pay for keeping the world safe—keeping our country safe.
“They can take out a city. Let them take, let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay,” Trump said. “And it’s going to be over with very soon. It’s essentially almost over with.”
Conservative activists have argued that Trump didn’t really mean that losing the two cities is a “small price to pay,” but that he was referring to high gas prices. In that generous interpretation, Trump was arguing that his war, which has killed scores of civilians in the Middle East and an estimated 23 U.S. soldiers, is preventing Iran from waging large scale attacks on American cities. But Iran’s targets during the war have been U.S. installations in the Middle East, and it wasn’t targeting American cities before the war either.
California leaders, however, have taken his words at face-value.
Advocating for the mass death of his own citizens?

Ya I’m sure iran would really rather nuke us here in California than Nebraska. We have a huge Iranian population and love them just as much as anyone else. My kid’s closest friend is Iranian American and goes to Farsi school on the weekend. Go fuck yourself Nebraska. Keep saluting the Ten Commandments or whatever the hell u ppl do out there.
We salute the Menards logo like God intended.
Wtf does Nebraska bring to the economic table? You fuckers need us.
Wtf does Nebraska bring to the economic table?
Corn, corn, and . . . more corn?
treason
The betrayal of allegiance toward one’s own country, especially by committing hostile acts against it or aiding its enemies in committing such acts
Trump v. United States, 603 U.S. 593 (2024) (holding that presidential immunity from criminal prosecution presumptively extends to all of a president’s “official acts” – with absolute immunity for official acts within an exclusive presidential authority that Congress cannot regulate such as the pardon, command of the military, execution of laws, or control of the executive branch).
It’s still treason. They’ve just removed judicial/ legal remedies. Leaving only…
Is campaigning an “official act” though?
His invitation would be a mix of diplomacy and intell gathering, thus him in his official capacity.
-His lawyers and the coming SCOTUS opinion.
That’s the press statement but highly doubt this claim could be confirmed or corroborated to dismiss his appearance as anything but campaigning.

Law does not make right.
Trump isn’t acting in an official capacity.
I think he is, by default. But there’s an argument to made that he has no capacity to act…
Stack this one on the treason pile.
Yep, going to need a mountain soon enough.
This is partly why I dislike when people, particularly on Reddit, dismiss any and all far right talk as Russian bot troll farms.
This was live in front of real flesh and blood US citizens who cheered.
I don’t think Los Angeles and San Diego will let them though.
Iran could take out the president, the supreme court, and all of congress. It’s a small price to pay.
Price? Net benefit…
Much of Congress, sure, unless you’re a “both sides” person, in which case fascism adores you.
Iran could kill every single politician in the USA, from the most unimportant one to Trump and the world would be a better place due to the USA collapsing
Political violence doesn’t solve anything.
Cmon Satan, you used to be cool.
No I never have.
I consider myself a very left democrat. I’d probably align as a democrat socialist when it comes to policy, taxation, and spending. Both sides are not the same in terms of their policy. I find them to be the same in terms of corruption, although republican politicians are far more corrupt, and the corruption is on a larger scale.
Today’s democrats capitulate to corporate interests far too often, at the expense of their constituents because of lobbying and campaign donations.
Today’s republicans capitulate to corporate interests far too often, at the expense of their constituents because of lobbying and campaign donations, AND they want to take away our rights to abortion, and kill/deport anyone that isn’t 100% straight, white enough to cry milk and fart chalk, and/or subscribe to their method of worshiping Jesus Christ. Republicans are also ok with rape, pedophilia, and foreign entities bombing large cities in California. They are truly a basket of deplorables.
Both sides are not the same, but I do hate both sides, albeit for different reasons. I would shed no tears if they were all wiped out in a catastrophic event, with the exception of Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman, Cori Bush, Greg Casar, Summer Lee, and Delia Ramirez.
I don’t have energy or passion to write a full reply at the moment, but we’re probably 90%+ in agreement. Still worth fighting against “both sides” because fascism in power affects human rights way more than establishment (i.e. shitty) Democrats, much less progressives, although one does have to have sufficient numbers to really foment change. But anyway, I pretty much fully agree with ya :)
I would shake their hand if they did so. The conservatives have kneecapped America with a golf club, and kept doing it ever since the establishment of the Heritage Foundation.
I want to live in a America that doesn’t suck.
Conservatives hate their perceived domestic opposition more than they hate the country they entered into an unprovoked war with.
Conservatives hate their perceived domestic opposition more than they hate the country they entered into an unprovoked war with.
If you watch the video clip of him saying that, the crowd enthusiastically cheers.
They’re cultists. These people would cheer at literally anything.
Donald Trump: “I just shit my pants”
The crowd: Everyone liked that
American conservatives pose a much greater threat to the average American than any other group on the planet does.
Just a reminder that that Denmark still has an offer for California, and we would not suggest a foreign power take out any part of it.

Those CA Trump voters will just assume he meant Iran’s bombs would only hit democratic households in those cities.
Kamala Harris received 2,417,109 votes, for those who are curious.
Wow, that’s a lot of upvotes
On brand for that child rapist.
i have to admit i didn’t have “POTUS totally fine with sworn enemy attacking cities full of people he doesn’t like” on my WTF is this timeline bingo card
i didn’t have “POTUS totally fine with sworn enemy attacking cities full of people he doesn’t like” on my WTF is this timeline bingo card
I did
Wait, does “POTUS totally fine with virus destroying cities full of people he doesn’t like” not count? 'Cause I’ve had that square on the board filled in for six years already.
to be completely fair i’m totally fine with florida falling into the ocean, however non-moron non-climate change-deniers have plenty of time to get out
however non-moron non-climate change-deniers have plenty of time to get out
Some of them do. Some of them are children, and some of them are financially trapped.
i know. awful, right? let’s talk about my comment instead of fucking potus saying go ahead and bomb LA
go ahead, your turn
I would love to know how one interprets those comments as being somehow related to gas prices. But it’s hard for me to get in that mindset, seeing as my mother refrained from smoking meth while pregnant with me. And what’s really sad is that Iran would never even consider taking out any American city. Because we live in a world where the fucking Ayatollahs are the voice of reason in global politics.
I would prefer Iran to take out Mar-A-Lago, followed by every conservative leader. Because, let’s be frank, the war was caused by those dickheads.
Where’s Harvey Lee Oswald when you need one…
Luigi, we need you!
Treason.
