It’s home to the Pacific fleet.
I’m sure they’re thrilled that the President is encouraging foreign powers to take them out.
Clearly reprehensible, but consider for a moment. Los Angeles and San Diego, at least 20 years ago, were the Republican voting big cities in California. Even if Republicans are not getting that same share of the vote now, there will be many Republican leaning people there. It seems just a shade worse on an already pitch black message.
Iran seems smart enough to not do his bidding. It sure is pretty fucking sick that he can say it without consequences. It’s certainly worse that even a single person cheered.

We have a treason-spouting Republican for president. If you’re older than your twenties or so, that’s one of those statements you just have to let sit and soak for a minute. For all their faults—and they are legion—the party has always cast itself as defender of America’s ideals. Yet a Republican president is spouting literal treason, and the response from his party? Crickets.
