    This theme is the most win2000 look&feel I’ve ever seen in free software that doesn’t replicate it too closely with subtle differences leaning into the uncanny valley. It just gets the vibe right.

    Off-topic (somehow?) but I’ve always loved the look and feel of GNOME 3.8. The modern GNOME is too minimal and too corporate. Seeing the old one evokes some warm nostalgic feelings of fiddling with CentOS 7 back then. So it’ll be kinda cool if we have something like this, but for GNOME. And also KDE 4!
