I finally got around to upgrading everything in my desktop this past year (rx 9070xt, ryzen laptop chip mobo combo with 16c/32t, 48gb of ram, and dual Samsung 990 pro 4tbs), and I did a quick price check recently, and my $1500 was now closer to $2.5-3k. It honestly amazes me how much it has gone up in the last year. Bonus points, I got some 18tb recertified drives for off-site at the same time for $250 a piece, now the same seller is offering them for $550 and still seems to be going up in price.
