Active users of President Donald Trump’s social media platform have dropped like flies.
Trump’s Truth Social site, where he threatens other countries and posts self-aggrandizing AI slop, has experienced a dramatic drop in daily active users of its mobile app since last July, according to the Financial Times.
The outlet, citing estimates from the digital market intelligence company SimilarWeb, reported that the mobile site’s daily active users have plummeted from 436,000 in July 2025 to only 261,000 one year later.

I just made a Nextdoor account a few weeks ago out of curiosity. Quickly regretting it. My neighbors are all the most paranoid fuckwits on the planet. Maybe if they weren’t such nosy busybodies they wouldn’t be so scared by things like black people existing in public or literally any unidentified substance they find being fentanyl.
It’s not even the racist ones that disappoint me, I just kind of expect that from living in a community inhabited by mostly white middle class retirees, it’s like the ones that are so devoid of critical thinking skills that they jump to wild conclusions based on nothing, and apparently that’s just the way those people live their lives each day.
Found a bit of roadkill? Someone must be torturing and murdering the neighborhood pets and put their bodies on display! Call the police!
Found a one dollar bill tucked underneath your welcome mat? Someone must be casing your house and put that there to see if/when you collect it to know what times you are home! Call the police!
et cetera, you get the idea. I wish this was hyperbole, but the two examples above are real.
Yeah, honestly, it brings me back to my childhood and having to rub elbows with a lot of very, very stupid people, because of the area I lived in and how the stupidest kids tend to be loudest (and same with their parents) and so on. I could not be as selective then as I can now with who I choose to associate with.
Back then, things were done in meatspace and with analog tools. But it was quite stupid then, too. For example, the “blue stars” urban legend (before we knew of the term urban legend) was something just swallowed hook, line, and sinker - by most parents, by cops, by teachers…meanwhile, ~10 year me is wondering, wait, what? LSD is not even addictive, WTF. Also, kids back then had next to no discretionary income…why would you try to “hook” them on a non-addictive substance.
Same thing with so much stupid shit - the notion that the Satanic Church profited from arcade games. Or that a groundhog really did determine how long winter would last (kids my age absolutely fucking believed that well past the stage, and I think at least one parent seemingly did, unless they were just trying to amuse their junior high age child).
I guess all I’m saying is that Nextdoor amplifies this, but I’ve also had lots of evidence that there are just a LOT of very stupid people.
