If it’s for the “wrong” recipients.
That’s sonservatives in a nut shell. Their whole world view is based on the conviction, that their ways are the correct ones which everyone has to live by. No exceptions.
“Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.”
What he wants people to hear is “empathy misapplied to those who do not deserve it”. What he’s really trying to do is normalize psychopathy and Machiavellianism.
