I was not alive to vote for or against the Interstate Highway Act
It was 1946 that trolleys were phased out, this was transit that didn’t get stuck in traffic, and had bullet cars capable of 60mph. My local system had connections going from NYC all the way to Canada.
With the exception of 532 very special people, the people alive at the time didn’t get to vote on it either.
I am aware government is universally terrible
