I don’t think this went the way he thought it was going to go. He’s gone viral, but not the way he wanted. He looks like a complete and utter imbecile
Unless somebody’s in a position to impose actual consequences, it doesn’t matter in the slightest what non-MAGAts think of him.
Honestly, I’m not sure.
I don’t have the intestinal fortitude to brave Elon’s safe space to see, but we know Benny Johnson and other astroturf MAGA repeaters tweeted preemptive false signal boosts about perjury before the confrontation was even over, and bias-reinforcing readers will never watch a 5-minute clip and understand it, or see the same factual reporting we saw. And even with some taking down their “gotcha” posts, they wouldn’t in a million years issue a correction or apology. Newsmax and Fox just will quietly not report on it.
I’m guessing it was enough to become more permanent evidence of the deep state for a lot of MAGA people.
