    I’d be down for every year, for every driver, with naturalistic covert observation. It’s that serious of a problem (like, 6 x 9/11 per year). Failing that, German-style licensing

        Mandatory driving school for everyone (except reciprocal agreements), first aid training, much more time- and cost-expensive path to obtain a licence, eye test by optometrist, high failure rate for exams (though this is possibly suspect)

        I read that Germany formerly didn’t have expiry for licences but it seems you now do. Isn’t there also a requirement to carry first aid in the car? Not sure about that.

        I also like the law that requires you to pull off the road during gridlock to allow emergency vehicles to pass and to force people to stop and give accident victims aid.
