    While an AI push is present at Apple, it seems much less aggressive than any of the other major tech companies.

      yhym, if you make a photo of a plant it show you the name of the species… isn’t it aggressive? send your photos to their servers without your consent or will

        What are you on about? Taking a photo on an iPhone with iCloud turned on is neither against your will or without your consent.

      I think the new Siri features that constantly listen to your conversations to sum them up (without the consent of the other party of course) as well as the changes to the license agreement allowing them to use your data for training is not that more mild compared to the competition.

        On the first point; I’m not a fan either, but it is opt-in and transcription is done on-device. On the second point; the other companies wouldn’t anonymize it, and would sell advertising against it.

        I get where you’re coming from, but while Apple might be a 5 on the shit scale in this regard, every other company actually selling AI in an 11.
