Is this truly without any plastics? Afaik the wood based stuff still has a tiny bit of plastic inside of it.
Seems likes it’s probably another bio based plastic. But it claims to be home compostable and not release any micro plastics, so maybe it really is benign. Before plastic, candy was wrapped in treated paper, maybe it’s more similar to that?
My worry is that plastics landing in a compost are going to be more of an issue than plastics ending up being upcycled.
I’m sure it has the micro plastics that everything now has, but importantly it is not made of future micro plastics and will leach a negligable amount of micro plastics into your food… Like probably as many as your own mouth will
