Sorry, that was a terrible post…now edited. He bribed the DIA to give him NZ citizenship back in 2011 and then tried to build a multimillion dollar bunker in wanaka, but the council refused building consent and he abandoned the idea. Unfortunately he still holds citizenship and can come here at any time, which is the point I poorly made above.
A quick search reveals he did indeed move both himself and his family to Buenos Aires, earlier this year.

The reason the council gave was that his plans would spoil the view for others.
