Former Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), who is also the current Democratic Senate candidate for Ohio, found himself in hot water in a past campaign over his response to anti-trans attacks from Republicans, and now he appears to be taking a different approach.
Instead of trying to defend or explain his views on trans rights, Brown released an ad last week slamming Republicans for focusing on trans people at all, when there are so many bigger challenges facing the state.
Which Democrats are taking away trans rights?
Marcy Kaptur, James Talarico, Sarah Trone Garriott, Lindsay James, Blake Gendebien, JoAnna Mendoza, James Turek, and Rob Sand to name a few are all running on platforms attacking trans people ranging from bragging about keeping children from accessing medical care to arguing trans women should not be allowed to play sports with cis women.

Is a bit disingenuous. I can’t find any evidence of any of those people running on a platform of attacking trans people. Many of them have a record of voting in favor of trans people. What they have done is respond to attack ads in difficult states with some degree of backpedaling and qualification, but that’s not the same as running on an anti-trans platform.
I’m not the one you were responding to but I honestly did not know this, and I feel like I should have.

A “ton”, but zero examples. I generally know what you’re saying is somewhat true. Some are. But you seem to want to imply Democrats are overall no better than Republicans in this regard and that’s patently false.
