People buy bigger cars simply for the tax deduction for their business. My wife has no real need to drive a 6,000 gross weight vehicle but the government awards you with accelerated depreciation for only vehicles over that weight
So if you just need a company car to drive to sales calls or something, then you’re better off getting some 8-seater SUV than a sedan? I would understand if it were for contractors or farmers to ensure that they weren’t trying to write off a Corvette as a business expense, but having that be universal is just dumb.
