This is great news, all other problems must have been solved!
I unironically had the same thought when I was about 7, seeing “pyramid shaped teabags” advertised on TV. I thought we must have solved literally every other problem on Earth if we have enough manpower to dedicate to something so trivial.
I want to recapture that feeling.
Kind of, but I also think “teabag scientists” are right to concentrate on “teabag science”. Not sure I want them looking at “data security in the post-surveillance era” or “feeding an increasing population during a crop-destroying climate crisis”.

Brits need to chill the fuck out when it comes to Eurovision. It’s a contest where you’re judged by the community, so when you’re routinely dicks to your neighbours you’re gonna lose… a lot. It has very little to do with the act on stage.
If that’s true, how did Israel win?
They have a sizeable group of supporters in lots of European countries that will vote on them and no one else no matter what. There’s also a large group that will not vote on them no matter what, but that group splits the vote between all the other contestants. So in general, Israel benefits from the polarisation.
The Israeli government also invests in marketing to encourage its citizens to vote in Eurovision.

That’s way better than they should have. They didn’t win the last one but I think there was a pretty recent one.
How has the UK been routinely dicks? We never won when we were in the EU either.
It was always seen as a bit naff, and no credible artists ever wanted anything to do with it.
