    No, this time a car stopped people from using the car to do violent crime. Surveillance and cars are both bad, but this one’s a win.

      Is it though? Yeah, of course, the entire argument to justify intrusive surveillance is that it will catch people. The fact that it did doesn’t invalidate the intrusive surveillance.

      Next, all you have to do to force everyone to submit to surveillance is price cars so most people can’t afford them and they have to use the surveillance mobile instead. After that you have to be rich to afford privacy.
